Favorite Arcade Games on Xbox Live
Sometimes I just don’t feel like playing seriously, and at those times I typically resort to playing an arcade game. I also have a ton of them at this point being that I’ve been a member of Xbox Live for so long. I’ve come up with my top three favorite arcade games.
Number 1: Peggle(Peggle Nights)
Why it’s so awesome: Because it has an insanely addicting adventure mode, countless challenges to complete, and an expansion with a new character, new ability, new maps, and new challenges. It’s fun to play single player, or multiplayer with your family or friends online. You can play VS. in a duel or a peg party where up to four players compete for a high score. A lot of people on Xbox Live enjoy this game, and if you haven’t tried it I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot. Never hurts to download a demo, if you don’t like it, you can simply delete it but chances are after playing a few levels you’ll be addicted, too!
Number 2: Splosion Man
Why it’s so awesome: What’s not to like about it? If you’ve played this game you know what I mean! Much like Peggle, it can get extremely addicting. The levels are fun to run through, exploding everywhere turning evil scientists into cuts of meat, and trying to get the secret birthday cake in every level. This game can also be played with friends online, and multiplayer changes things up a bit with the ability to duel splode with your partner in order to complete levels. The levels get more challenging, and the boss fights are quite amusing. There’s also a sequel to the game featuring Mrs. Splosion Man. If you haven’t tried these games you should do so!
Number 3: A Kingdom for Keflings
Why it’s awesome: What’s not awesome about seeing your avatar tower over tiny people who are counting on you to help educate, and train them, while simultaneously helping build their very own kingdom? You get blueprints to help you achieve building different structures until you start building bigger and better things. When you get bored? You can always pick up your keflings, and kick them to torment them. I find this especially fun when you’re feeling over-worked. There’s also “A World of Keflings” available to play on Xbox Live which is equally as fun and most people might even like it better! Either way, these are my favorites and I’d recommend them to anyone willing to try them out!
I realize there are TONS of arcade games and it’s hard to really say which are the best. That’s not what I’m doing. These are merely my personal favorites. However, I’m always up for trying new games so if anyone has any recommendations I’m all ears!
