South Park:The Stick of Truth Needs to Sell 2 Million Copies to Break Even
THQ have revealed that the new South Park game, South Park: The Stick Of Truth will require the sale of 2 million copies to break even.
According to Gamasutra the game costs less due to its simple animation style however it will still require 2 million sales when it releases next march to break even. This break even mentality is due to THQ not being able to break even on the UFC brand which led to them selling the license to EA and laying off an unknown amount of workers at the San Diego Studio therefore they will now focus on breaking even on a title-to-title basis.
Although 2 million copies seems like a daunting task, THQ believes that they will be able to sell well above that, they told Pachter.
So what do you think? will South Park: The Stick Of Truth be able to sell 2 million copies? it is South Park which is a well-known show already therefore this task does seem achievable even is a short amount of time.
