3DS XL Will Not Be Sold at Loss

603181183 3DS XL Will Not Be Sold at Loss

Nintendo’s Global President Satoru Iwata has confirmed that Nintendo won’t loose money with the the new 3DS XL.

At a suggested retail price of $199.99 U.S. dolars, and it looks to be a good deal for Nintendo.

The profit won’t be very large, but it will be something, unlike the 3DS, that after Nintendo cut the price to 169.99 U.S dolars, started selling at a loss. Iwata noted that the 3DS would start making profit by the Fall. But it seems Nintendo is gonna recover some money and get more consumers excited with the new handheld, and a profit for them.

The 3DS XL hits stores shelves on North America on August 19th.

Will you be picking up the 3DS XL? Are you upgrading your 3DS to the XL? Are you keeping your 3DS?
